Dr. Gurmeet Kaur Gill, a resident of Mukerian, Punjab, India, is a highly accomplished individual with a remarkable academic background. She holds post-graduate degrees in History, Psychology, and Sociology, as well as B.Ed, M.Ed, PGDCA, PGDHRD, and PGDGC. Additionally, she has a Pre-Primary Diploma in Montessori Training and has earned her PhD and D.Lit. in Education. Her favorite activities include writing, photography, travelling, and connecting with others.
With over 24 years of experience as an HOD (Social Science), Examination-in-Charge, Vice Principal, and Principal in various renowned institutions across India, she has made significant contributions to the field of education. She is an active member of several charitable organizations and has conducted over 1,000 workshops for students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders. She has also attended numerous national and international conferences and seminars.
As a resource person for CBSE, she has participated in various events and has written several articles and research papers highlighting educational issues and concerns. She has authored multiple books, including "Education for Sustainable Development - An Indian Experience," which is available on Amazon India and Canada. She is also a certified SOI trainer and motivational speaker, and she was a panelist at the World Education Summit in Delhi.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gill has received numerous accolades, including the Best Progressive Principal Award, Best Principal of India, Best Environmental Teacher, Paryavaran Dronacharya Award, and Wonder Women Award. She was honored by the Ex-President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, for being an inspirational teacher in an online voting contest conducted by Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar.
