Khoisnam Tokyo Meetei is from Imphal, Manipur, India. He has been actively involved in helping the elderly, HIV-affected individuals, widows, and disabled persons since 2016, and remains committed to continuing this humanitarian work until his retirement.
Moreover, he received several prestigious awards, including the Indo Nepal Friendship International Award-2023 on February 17, 2023, Indo-Nepal Reindship International Humanity Service Award-2024 on February 4, 2024. Additionally, he was honored with the Babu Jagjivan Ram National Sanman Padak-2024 on July 7-8, 2024. He also received the Indo Japan International Award for Humanitarian Service Award-2024 on May 18, 2024. Most recently, he received the Bharat Ratna A.P.J. Abdul Kalam National Award-2025 on February 16, 2025.
