We Assess Each And Every Application That We Receive – But Many Cannot Be Recognized As A World Record.

International Book of Records

  • We do not accept applications based on subjective measures for example – beauty, kindness, loyalty.
  • Other activities that are not records include those which are not sufficiently challenging, those which are too specific to a single person or anything that is unbreakable.
  • We do not endorse unsuitable activities or those which could cause potential harm or danger to spectators / birds / animals.
  • We do not permit people under the age of 18 to attempt or hold records which are considered unsuitable for minors. In these instances IB Records works in association with the official regulatory body for the particular skill / sport. Even, If Official regulatory body allows, Parent/Guardians consent is required.


All International Book of Records Attempts Must Follow Some Rules & Criteria Which Are Stated Below:

Measurable

Is it the fastest / longest/ heaviest / most/ Breakable / Unique / Running / Productivity / Efficiency / Sustainability

Breakable

Can the record be broken or repeated by someone else? All our record titles must be open to being challenged.

Standardisable

Can the record title be done universally? For example, it cannot be related to something restricted to a region.

Verifiable

Can the claim be proven? For example, a claim such as ‘the man who never drank water’, can never be verified unless the man spent his whole life from birth under surveillance by a witness.

Universal

The proposal must be something, or about something that is known to the world’s majority. It cannot be too specific/regional. It should not be overly specific or limited to a particular region.

Substantially Different From A Current Record

Can the record title be done universally? For example, it cannot be related to something restricted to a region.

Solo Activity

This includes a single person who wants to apply for International Book of Records.

Duo Activity

This includes two people who want to apply for International Book of Records.

Group Activity

This includes a group of people (3 to 100 participants) who want to apply for International Book of Records.

Mass Activity

This includes a group of more than 100 participants who want to apply for International Book of Records.

Commercial Activity

By listing your record with IB Records , you can demonstrate your achievements and capabilities to a wider audience, which can lead to increased recognition, trust, and value for your brand, company, or organization.

Guidelines

  • This document acts as a guide to the specific considerations and undertakings for your potential attempt and is to be used in conjunction with the Guide to Your Evidence, which outlines the evidence we require to verify the success of your attempt. These guidelines should be read and understood by all concerned with the OFFICIALLY World Record attempt prior to the attempt – this includes the process that needs to be followed by every parent/guardians/participant.
  • These guidelines are specific to your attempt and must be followed. Should any part of these guidelines be conflicting, your attempt will be disqualified without any right of appeal.
  • Additionally, these guidelines in no way provide any kind of safety advice and cannot be construed as providing any comfort that the attempt is free from risk.
  • OFFICIALLY World Record accepts no responsibility for the safety of participants or bystanders in any attempt. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that all necessary safety precautions are in place and that all equipment used is suitable and thoroughly checked prior to the attempt taking place and (b) you are in compliance with all applicable health and safety laws and regulations.
  • OFFICIALLY World Record does not allow promoting any kind of alcoholic stuff, prohibited drinks, drugs, and smoking for the attempt. OFFICIALLY World Record also does not allow any kind of minor, bird, and animal abuse during the attempt. If such acts are found in the attempt, OFFICIALLY World Record will not entertain such attempt.

Age Factor

  • We encourage parents/guardians to become involved in their children’s experiences. Please discuss the guidelines with your child so they understand how to use the OFFICIALLY World Record Services and the kind of information we may ask them.
  • Certain of the OFFICIALLY World Record Services may request personal data from the user. Where the child will be prompted to provide contact details of their parents or legal guardians and will also be prompted to ask their parents or guardians to consent to the provision of personal data by the child. Where you do not wish your child to provide personal data, please do not provide your consent.
  • Submitting an application: Parents and guardians of a child can submit a claim for OFFICIALLY World Record TITLE to us by creating a personal account. As part of this process, an email address for verifying the account and the name and date of birth of the child will need to be provided. Here, we expect parents or guardians to get in touch with us by email. Where consent is subsequently received, personal data collected as part of this process will be used in accordance with the terms of a separate agreement that we require all applicants to enter into.

Evidence

    OFFICIALLY World Record requires all the below mentioned documents while submitting the application in order for us to verify the title application according to the norms of OFFICIALLY World Record.

    2. Photographic Evidence
    3. Video Evidence
    4. Video Briefing Talent(s)/Achievement(s)
    5. Annexure
    6. Media Coverage (if any)

    If in case, somewhere you think submitting all above evidence are not required or may not be able to arrange the evidence, then you need to contact your attempt Manager before making your attempt to determine if it will be possible to proceed with the application despite not being able to provide the necessary evidence.
