The World Record of “Largest Retroperitoneal tumour removed by surgery “is achieved by the Team of Seven Doctors (Dr. K. Sendhil Kumar, Dr. Piyush Patwa, Dr. Vimalakannan M., Dr. K. Karthik, Dr. Nivedhitha Aarthy, Dr. Venkatachalam and Dr. D. Senthil Kumar) from Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) India on 2nd September 2019.

The Team successfully removed 7 kilograms weighing cancer tumour "Retroperitoneal Sarcoma” in 7 hours long surgery and set a new World Record for International Book Of Records.

A lady patient who was carrying a tumor for 2 years had undergone surgery at Gateway Hospitals on September 2nd, 2019. The organs were removed as a single specimen involving the right kidney, right ureter, right ovary, right colon (Cecum and ascending colon), ileum, retroperitoneal tumor, and lymph nodes. The patient survived after the major surgery.
