The World Record of “Largest Collection of Postal
Stamps” is achieved by Dr. Jawahar Israni from Delhi (Delhi) India on 4th June
2020.
He collected 50000 theme-wise Postal Stamps of 237
countries and set a New World Record for International
Book of Records.
Dr. Jawahar Israniresiding at Dilshad Colony, Delhi, aged plus 77 years of age, professionally an Inspection Engineer, presently working with M/s TUV India Private Limited, Delhi (A German Company), who has retired as Manager from M/s MECON Limited, Ranchi, in the year 2000, who has also been pursuing this hobby since his school days i.e. from class 5, now is a proud owner of collection of more than 50,000 stamps of 237 different countries (Including Kingdoms and Islands) & including India, kept with different themes also. This was motivated by a class teacher (Dr. Motilal Jotwani, later on, he became the recipient of Padma Shri Award also)The collection has been widely displayed from time to time at various places such as Ranchi/ Panipat/ Delhi/ Ghaziabad/Karnal/Yamunanagar/Bhatinda/ Mumbai/ Faridabad/ Asansol/ Kolkata/ Durgapur/ Burnpur/Vishakhapatnam/Damanjori/ Bolani/ Mathura/ Haldia/ Gurgaon/Meerut/ Ludhiana, Bharatpur/Bhiwadi/Alwar/Baddi/ Greater Noida/ Ballabhgarh/ Palwal/ Ankleshwar/ Bharuch etc. and appreciated by the onlookers and groups of visitors.
