The World Record of "MAXIMUM PLASTIC WASTE RECYCLED LIVE IN A BEACH CLEANUP IN A SINGLE DAY - SINGLE VENUE" was achieved by VASAI VIRAR CITY MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, GO SHOONYA AND NSS CELL (UNIVERSITY OF MUMBAI) on 21st September 2024 from Thane (Maharashtra) India. They organized an activity during which 662.12 kg of waste was recycled live that was collected at Rajodi beach clean-up drive on the occasion of International Coastal Cleanup Day and broke the previous record of recycling 500 kg of waste and has set a new world record for International Book of Records.
